Description
EnviZyme WW4 contains a specially formulated range of adapted high-performance microorganisms, fungi and bacteria to treat a broad spectrum of hard-to-degrade compounds. Fungi are very specific for biological treatment of waste water from pulp industries, mainly due to their efficiency and the presence of diverse ligninolytic enzyme.
EnviZyme WW4 assists in breaking down compounds that are harder to degrade, such as Lignin; which is particularly difficult to biodegrade and which reduces the bioavailability of the other cell wall constituents. EnviZyme WW4 has the ability to tolerate often harsh conditions and provides resistance to toxic shock loads including black liquor spills, while maintaining efficient COD reduction prior to the final discharge.

Application
When you need to respond quickly, EnviZyme WW4 is recommended for use to improve the COD reduction of industrial waste water. EnviZyme WW4 is added directly to the aerobic treatment unit on a daily basis. The fungi in EnviZyme WW4 perform within a wide pH range of between 4.5 and 7.0 and are particularly well adapted to acidic waste water conditions. Applications include, activated sludge, SBR, lagoon systems and aeration basins.
Optimum conditions for use
The bacteria in EnviZyme WW4 perform within a pH range of between 4.5 and 9.0, with optimum activity near a pH of 7.5. Temperature affects the growth rate of the bacterial population and activity improves with a temperature of between 37°C and 38°C (99°F to 100°F). No appreciable activity can be expected below 5°C (40°F) and above 40°C (104°F).
Preparation
EnviZyme WW4 may be added directly to the waste influent stream or aerated basin. For toxic wastes or short retention times, re-hydration for between 30 to 90 minutes prior to its addition to a waste system is recommended, using 9 litres of water per 500g of EnviZyme WW4. For best results, the make-up water temperature range should be between 21°C and 31°C (70°F to 90°F).
Storage and handling
Store in a cool dry place at room temperature. The recommended storage temperature is within a range of 1°C and 23°C (34°F to 73°F). Avoid excessive inhalation. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash hands thoroughly with warm, soapy water after handling.
